¿Qué es un esguince de codo?

Un esguince de codo es una lesión en uno o más de los ligamentos alrededor del codo. Los ligamentos del codo son bandas resistentes de tejido que conectan los huesos de la parte superior del brazo y la parte inferior del brazo alrededor de la articulación del codo. Un esguince de codo generalmente ocurre cuando el brazo experimenta un estiramiento repentino y enérgico durante la actividad física o un accidente.
