Dr. Graber is a national leader in the field of patient safety. He is the founder and President of the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine. Dr. Graber originated the annual Patient Safety Awareness Week in 2002, and is a pioneer in efforts to address diagnostic errors in medicine. He has extensive background in biomedical and health services research, and is the Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook
