Dr. Katz is a board-certified OBGYN, who is thrilled to have fulfilled a life-long dream of becoming a physician and helping women of all ages and backgrounds be in the best health possible and get access to top level care. She received her undergraduate degree in anthropology from the University of Michigan (2006) and graduated from Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery (2011). She completed her OBGYN residency at Mount Sinai Hospital of Chicago (2016). While she started off in private practice, she now practices at a community hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. She is very excited to be a new member of Buoy Health, contributing to the writing of articles that empathetically and compassionately explains medical issues to our readers. When she is not working, she enjoys being a wife and mother to four kids and one sweet labrador and spending time outside, playing tennis, traveling and cooking.
